Hello there,

Our kids don’t have school today. The reason used to be called Christopher Columbus Day. Today the reason is Indigenous Peoples Day.  To honor this day, even if your kids are in school and even if you’re at work, I have some presents for you.

Umunhum, the film about the heart-full partnership between Amah Mutsun Tribal Band and Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, was shown at the Santa Cruz Film Festival last week.

You can watch it here. I recommend the biggest screen you can find and a good pair of speakers. My deep thanks to everyone involved in that film, especially The Christensen Fund for making it happen.

Subscribe to the Amah Mutsun Land Trust enewsletter for goodness delivered to your inbox.

I cannot wait to visit this new cafe in Berkeley. What if our events, meetings, and conferences were all catered by them?

This is one of my favorite Instagram feeds. I want to have this in my house. For the Star Wars fans out there, there’s this.

Have a great day, my friend.

PS: Have you been to the top of Mt Umunhum yet? You really should go.
